Breaking news: I adore watches. They’re something of a hobby for me — hard to tell, I know — and I love opportunities to see new ones in the wild that I wouldn’t otherwise normally have the chance to experience. If you are anything like me, you likely love watches too. Unfortunately, you likely also suffer from a perpetually acute lack of time with which to see them. Work, sleep, rinse and repeat. There are never enough hours in the day.
To our mutual benefit, there is a longstanding antidote to this conundrum. Behold, human civilization’s greatest invention: the watch community meetup. On par with fire and the wheel in terms of importance, it alone has the unique ability to bring together a critical mass of cool watches. Not everything will be to your current tastes, but that’s kind of the point: learn, witness, maybe fall in love, and inadvisably shop on Chrono24 later. This month, Los Angeles Watch Collective was back with another meetup at All Seasons Brewing Company in Mid-City. Beer aplenty and good times afoot — keep scrolling to see the good stuff.

Objectively the coolest watch of the evening given its condition.
