It’s that time again. My favorite excursion of the month is always seeing fellow watch nerds at RedBar ATL. Per usual, the local RedBar meetup is the best form of vicarious retail therapy – we’re all in this money-burning affliction together, so why not make the most of it? September 2022’s meetup took the form of a picnic on a wonderfully sunny Saturday afternoon (yesterday, to be precise); reliable as ever, the group did not disappoint and brought out their Sunday best ahead of schedule.
About
If you haven’t read my initial monologue about RedBar, I think it is worth visiting if only for a glimpse into why the madness surrounding wrist watches is best experienced in a group setting. That first post was more or less focused on healthy camaraderie – we naturally (and unsurprisingly) surround ourselves with like-minded individuals who enjoy similar activities and interests. Each time I hang out with the gang, I consider it a rewarding experience: good company, good watches, and new insights that are valuable to yours truly as he tries to expand his horological horizons little by little. This month was no different, except that we swapped the typical brewery setting for a picnic in scenic Buckhead and successfully managed to drag a couple loved ones with us along the way. Without further adieu, here is a visual smörgåsbord for you to feast upon.
